Swing Dancing to Boogie Wonderland to get ready for Hanger Dance

The Hanger Dance is coming up on 5/21/11, and it is one of the best dance events of the year.

We have to know how to dance Swing if we don't want sit out a lot at the Hanger Dance. So, we are going to teach a beginning level Swing dance lesson at Blue Fox, not too far from the site of the Blaine Hanger Dance.

We will have Disco music by Boogie Wonderland to practice at our first such lesson.

So, here is the plan.
** If you can get there during their happy hour, grab tables near the dance floor and enjoy the happy hour.
** Even if you can't get there much earlier, get there by 6:45, check in with Milind, and get settled in.
** Beginning level Swing lesson from 7:00 to 8:30
** Rest, eat, and drink 8:30 to about 9:30. Blue Fox has a full bar and excellent food. (If you have other plans, you can leave anytime after 8:30.)
** At about 9:30, Boogie Wonderland will start playing Disco music. A lot of Disco music is good for Swing dancing. So, we can practice Swing dancing with others in the class to live music, we can dance Disco style dancing, or we can do both.

As always, we will be rotating partners frequently during the lesson part, to make sure that
** Nobody is without a partner for long, and
** You get to dance with most everybody of opposite gender in the group
** If you come with a partner, be sure to dance the first and the last dance with your partner. But in between, you can change or not change partners. Your choice!

Cost for the class is only $10/person. (Please bring cash; exact change is preferable.) People taking the class don't have to pay the cover fee Blue Fox charges on Friday nights.
